QSA @ SLQ

In an effort to boost access to the State’s archives, Queensland State Archives has popped up at the State Library of Queensland! Each Monday, one of QSA’s reference archivists will be at John Oxley Library to help you with researching QSA records, searching the catalogue, using indexes and answering questions.

Original QSA records can also be delivered to SLQ for viewing. Simply email your order to info@archives.qld.gov.au by 12pm the Wednesday before to allow time for the records to be retrieved and delivered to the Library. Some records will be not available due to their fragility or size, so items such as maps and large registers can only be seen at the Archives’ Runcorn reading room. When you pre-order records, please let QSA know that you’d like them delivered to the Library, the date you will be there and what you would like to view along with your contact information. They will then let you know if your records can be delivered to SLQ by the Friday before your visit.
