Lorna McDonald’s New Book

Lorna McDonald is our former Patron of PHAQ and a member of our association. Lorna’s recent book is a history on life in Rockhampton. The following is from the flyer:

Wonderfully illustrated with priceless photographs, period paintings, drawing and postcards, Treasures in a Tea Tin is brought to life by Central Queensland historian, Dr Lorna McDonald, in such a way that differences of time and place melt away, and what happened yesterday has all the vigour and delight of the present. We come to know and love these young people and their families in these pages, sharing their hopes, fears, disappointments and delights. Treasures in a Tea Tin is a book for all ages. It is sure to become a small classic depicting early twentieth century Queensland life.
