Judith is a freelance historian with more than two decades' experience. In addition to published works, commissions for a range of private and corporate clients have included research for permanent and temporary museum exhibitions, histories of buildings and organisations, archives reports, heritage significance assessments and citations, and genealogical research. From 2008 to 2018 Judith has been the Australian Dictionary of Biography Research Assistant for Queensland.

An independent historian researching and writing histories and significance assessments for institutions, organisations and individuals. My style of writing draws on high level research of primary and secondary sources that are presented in a narrative style. This approach provides academic level research that is readily comsumed by the general reader. I endevour to provide an empathetic view of history though weaving the lived experience of individuals into my narratives. History should be felt while it is learned.
