In February 2020 I relocated to Canberra (ACT) to take up a senior policy officer role in historic heritage with the federal Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.

I have a lengthy history and heritage experience, including an array of research, heritage assessment and management, curatorial and collection management roles with a number of government departments, local councils, museums and historical societies.

Author/Co-author of some 70 publications, including books, chapters, journal articles, government and legal reports.

I also have considerable background and experience in cultural heritage research and management while engaged in various capacities for the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and the Environmental Protection Agency. I have also held a variety of curatorial and collection management roles with the Queensland Museum (Southbank) and The Workshops Rail Museum (North Ipswich), the museums network of the Moreton Bay Regional Council (for the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum and the Redcliffe Museum), the Victoria Barracks Museum (now Army Museum South Queensland), Petrie Terrace, Brisbane, as well as the Main Roads Heritage Centre in Toowoomba.
Judith Nissen
About: Judith is a freelance historian with more than two decades’ experience. In addition to published works, commissions for a range of private and corporate clients have included research for permanent and temporary museum exhibitions, histories of buildings and organisations, archives reports, heritage significance assessments and citations, and genealogical research. From 2008 to 2018 Judith has been the Australian Dictionary of Biography Research Assistant for Queensland.
About: Kay Cohen is an experienced historian specialising in government administration, the history of organisations, and Queensland’s history and cultural heritage. She is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society of Queensland.
Margaret Cook
About: Margaret Cook is a freelance historian who specialises in non-Indigenous cultural heritage and social and environmental history.
Neville Buch
About: Dr Neville Buch has produced several histories on Protestant churches and para-church organisation in Queensland. He is currently writing two books for the 125th anniversary of Junction Park State School and for 40th anniversary of St Thomas More (Catholic) Secondary College.
